Student Council launched a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign that began on September 24 and ended October 8. Students raised money by asking for donations and allowing donators to write their name on a pink ribbon and displayed them in our campus library. We also had teachers involved by allowing them to wear jeans if they donated $10. They decorated the campus and also posted thank you signs on all teachers classroom door that donated. We were also able to get the Elementary involved and they helped us raise $150. The deadline for our Campaign was on October 8 because we wanted to have all our collections in to be ready for the Pink Out Pep Rally. For this pep rally we were able to get Cathy Weaver a representative from the American Cancer Society to receive our donation. Our original goal was $300 and I am very proud that my student council was able to surpass their goal and they reached $800!!!
