Rio Hondo ISD places the safety of our students and staff as our highest priority. Due to inclement weather conditions, all district offices and campuses will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 with a delayed start for all campuses:
Staff report time: 9:30 AM
Student start time: 10:00 AM
Bus routes: Delayed by two (2) hours
Maintenance, Transportation, School Safety and Food Service Staff: Normal time
For student safety and supervision:
Students being dropped off by parents or guardians may not arrive before 9:30 AM.
All after-school academic programs and extracurricular activities will resume on Tuesday.
We will continue to monitor National Weather Service updates and will provide any additional information regarding school operations through the district website, text messages, and phone calls.
