🍳 Breakfast will be served during normal operating hours

Rio Hondo ISD places the safety of our students and staff as our highest priority. Due to inclement weather conditions, all district offices and campuses will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, with a delayed start for all campuses:
Staff report time: 9:30 AM
Student start time: 10:00 AM
Bus routes: Delayed by two (2) hours
Maintenance, Transportation, School Safety and Food Service Staff: Normal time
For student safety and supervision:
Students being dropped off by parents or guardians may not arrive before 9:30 AM.
All after-school academic programs and extracurricular activities will resume on Tuesday.
We will continue to monitor National Weather Service updates and will provide any additional information regarding school operations through the district website, text messages, and phone calls.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support as we prioritize the safety of our Rio Hondo ISD community.

✅ Classes will resume on Tuesday with a 2-hour delay, with first class beginning at 10:20 AM.
🏫 School doors will open at 9:30 AM — no early drop-offs, please.
🚌 Bus routes will also operate on a 2-hour delay and follow their regular routes.
❌ All Monday after-school activities are canceled. Please check with coaches as needed for further details.
⚠️ Please note: Because of Monday’s cancellation, we will be using a make‑up weather day as instructed by our district office on a future date.
