The Lady Cats finish the regular season 27-3 and 17-1 in district play. The Lady Cats are District Champions, making it five years in a row for the program. The Lady Cats now prepare for the post season as playoffs begin next week. GO LADY CATS! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Congratulations to our Varsity and JV Boys Basketball teams for playing hard against Santa Rosa on Friday night!

The Bobcat Powerlifting Team comprised of our young lifters competed in the Noah LeBlanc Memorial Powerlifting Invitational today. They lifted well and came in third place against some tough competition. The Bobcat Powerlifting competed at the Hidalgo Pirate Powerlifting Invitational. The Bobcats locked in and had a great meet. The Bobcats were able to take both divisions as both teams placed 1st in the boy's and girl's division and took home the Championship Trophies.

Good Afternoon Rio Hondo Bobcat Community,
RHISD District Officials place the safety of our students and staff as our top priority.
As a result of a possible freeze, District offices and schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
The school start time for Wednesday, January 22, 2025 will be 10:00 am for all campuses.
Bus routes will be delayed by two hours to accomodate this change.
Students being dropped off by parents may not arrive earlier than 9:30 am.
RHISD employees will report by 9:30 am; however, campus security, police officers, cafeteria staff and maintenance personnel which will report at the regular time.
After school academic programs/activities will be cancelled on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 as well as Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
We will continue to monitor the National Weather Service updates as the week continues and keep the pubic apprised of any future delayed starts via our district website, text, and calls.


Due to weather conditions, school is cancelled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21st. RHHS will also have a late start on Wednesday, January 22nd, which will be at 10:00 a.m. Students are to report to campus no earlier than 9:30 a.m.
